Iowa Triple Threat Hoops

A building block for our youths future

Mission

Triple Threat Hoops is a select travel basketball club dedicated to helping inner-city youth, at-risk youth, and players who need an opportunity to develop into strong young members of society using the vehicle of basketball.  We feel thru teaching the values of teamwork to a group of individuals who more often than not are used to being "the man" in their respective athletic situations we can give these kids a leg up when they enter the "game of life",  We will travel in the spring/summer months to various basketball tournaments and exposure events throughout the country promoting teamwork, brotherhood, hardwork, values, respect, and leadership.  We will attend many NCAA CERTIFIED EVENTS to help gain exposure to college recruiters for our young men in the hopes of using their god-given athletic abilities to earn a college scholarship to continue their academic and athletic pursuits at the collegiate level.  By teaching hardwork, teamwork, discipline, respect for self and others, and reinforcing the need for solid academics we are working to help our inner-city youth overcome obstacles by using their basketball abilities to receive a free college education which will enhance their future and respective communities they will become apart of as they grown from boys to honorable men in our society.

We feel that there are many young men who are not able to play on the spring/summer "AAU" circuit due to their financial hardships.  By working harder than any other 'select' team in Iowa at fund-raising and keeping our player contributions to the bare minimum we hope to provide these young men with the same opportunities.

Donations

The Triple Threat Hoops Program is reaching out to parents, volunteers, community leaders and all others interested in helping with this and future years funding as we look to expand our program to reach out to more kids by growing to the level of 4 different age group programs, 15U, 16U, 17U, & 19U.  Our program started with one 17u team in the spring/summer of 2006 and will expand to a 16u, 17u, & 19u team in the spring/summer of 2007.  We cannot achieve these goals without the help of the community and our business leaders so we ask that you lend a helping hand in any way that you or your organization can do so.  Our organization is a tax exempt, non profit 501(c) 3 organization, but in order to do that we need community support or sponsorship to make this transition.

In order to achieve our ultimate goals we really need you, the community, to support these young men by donating to their futures.  Therefore, we would like to ask you to consider a donation to the Triple Threat AAU program; all donations go directly to tournament fees, hotel fees, travel costs, basketballs, uniforms, and assisting our players with transportation to college visits when necessary.  Any questions can be directed via email to triple_threathoops@yahoo.com, or directly to Jamie Pettigrew at 319-631-3460 or Armond Dawson at 319-651-7096.  We will honor all persons that contribute at any level on this website and any business/organization who makes a donation of $500 or more will be a PLATINUM contributor and we will link to your website where applicable.

Please assist us by subscribing to one of the many magazines provided on our online magazine fundraiser.  All proceeds go toward tournament fees, hotel/travel expenses, and sponsoring needy student-athletes in our program.  We thank you for supporting our youth and believing in the goals of Iowa Triple Threat Hoops.
